- My language qualifications include a four year B.A. Honours degree in French and Diplomas in Translation and Interpreting from the Institute of Linguists. I also have the Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, which gives helpful insight when working on marketing and promotional assignments.
- Being a Member of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI) I am qualified to work at the highest level, as required by courts of law, police and health service and have enhanced CRB disclosure.
- 30 years experience in translation and interpreting, 10 of which were spent living and working in France.
- Excellent overall grounding in the French language, in particular in technical, legal and commercial areas.
- Extensive experience in the translation of property transactions, "Compromis de Vente", surveys etc.
- Official translation of documents required when moving to France, such as birth and marriage certificates; French administrative formalities for English speaking residents in France.
- Many years working in the manufacturing industries, including the foundry industry, printing industry, machine tools manufacture, mechanical and electrical engineering, electronics, information technology etc.
- Geographic proximity is not a requirement. I currently work with clients in Plymouth, Exeter and throughout South West England and Wales, as well as Leeds, Harrogate, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol, London, Edinburgh and other areas of the U.K., as well as in France and other English and French speaking countries.
